I found a piece that Bill O’Reilly did about Elizabeth Warren in his show, “The O’Reilly Factor.” I thought, “Oh boy, lets see what he’s got in store for me.” O’Reilly made Warren look bad. Which was not to my surprise; he can make a boy scout walking a granny across the street look bad.

I would recommend watching this video clip, its only 3 minutes and 30 seconds long!

However, this talking points section was called, “’President’ Elizabeth Warren Would Make Obama Look Like Reagan. ” He then starts off with discussing ‘how liberalism is affecting you,’ and then adds that Warren is the emerging face for liberalism in America. He continues to tell us a little bit about Warren’s ‘preferences.’ I thought it was really funny to see the video clip that he used of Warren being extremely straightforward but if you actually listen to what she is saying, it goes against what O’Reilly is stating.

O’Reilly continues on and says that what is effecting ‘us’ is that “Warren thinks that all Americans should pay to abort fetuses, no matter what you think about the destruction of potential human beings.”

This piece was not only done to criticize Warren but also liberalism and the democrats. Throughout this entire video, it’s not hard to tell what democratic party O’Reilly supports. He calls her a “classic liberal thinker, who believes Washington should control the lives of individuals, for the collective good.”

Lastly, I found it hilarious that O’Reilly basically said that Warren is only a hero to the “younger Americans, some minority voters and the hard-core baby-boomer left,” because apparently, we aren't as important.

“The liberal policies of President Obama have weakened this nation abroad, created a stagnant economy and staggering national debt” – Bill O’Reilly

Given the fact that Bill O’Reilly is an extreme conservative republican, I see why he is degrading the democratic party and ideals but because it is on Foxx news he is speaking mainly to a republican party which doesn’t much effect my views of the democratic party or of Warren. Therefore, I do not believe that this clip is hurting Warren’s image. Many republicans have preexisting negative views on democrats already so watching this video probably didn’t change views but just ‘validated’ them.

Warren has already portrayed herself as a very headstrong women fighting for the middle class and when reading between the lines of this clip, you can see that these are the things Warren is working toward and that O’Reilly’s main attempt is to degrade the democratic party. He even attacks Clinton in the beginning of his video.

O’Reilly should have just began with stating that Clinton sucks, Warren sucks, liberalism sucks and so do the democrats.

This is the most opinionated blog I have done yet, so sorry if anyone was offended. I obviously don't like O'Reilly either!

  1. Obviously you and I share the same thoughts, views, and beliefs, especially about Bill O'Reilly. Do you know if Warren or any Democrats addressed what he said about Warren?

  2. Seeing as how harsh O'Reilly was on Warren and Democrats in general, has anyone such as Warren given him a reason to be this aggressive and critical towards them or was it just his choice? Also has anyone tried to fight back against what O'Reilly said?

  3. I think this was really well done, especially since I can't stand the hateful messages that Bill O'Reilly spreads. O'Reilly is particularly hard on both Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren, who do you think he is harder on?

  4. I think that there is an understanding across the nation that Bill O'Reilly will tear down anything he doesn't completely agree with. I think this is one of the reasons that he is so famous, however, I don't think many democrats really care what he has to say (I don't know that for sure, just an overall consensus). There was an interview with O'Reilly about the uproar and O'Reilly basically stood for what he said and didn't apologize for anything. I think he was harder on Warren just because they spoke more negatively about her opposed to Clinton.
